3) BIBLIOGRAPHY :

"The Model Railroader's Guide to Locomotive Servicing Terminals" by Marty McGuirk.

Kalmbach Books, # 122228, ISBN 0-89024-414-6.

This book is a good reference for someone who is planning a North-American layout.

All part of an engine servicing area are explained one by one.

A chapter is dedicated especially to turntables; several options from the cheapest to the most expensive are studied.

4) CONCLUSION :

I really liked to bring this project to an end. It represented a certain challenge to adapt the original Walthers Cornerstore kit to the AC Three-Rail System.

The result worths the invested efforts and allows to have a fully functional turntable that is perfectly suited to your needs for less than Euros 65, which means that it is about 200 Euros less expensive that the original Märklin turntable.

It is probable that it could be possible to modify the same way the larger Walthers Cornerstore 130' turntable (933-2829) that could fit the Big Boy but which is more expensive and delivered as a fully assembled model.

Pierre GILLARD, March 2006.
